Supermarkets are one stop shopping places that lure you in with specials on a few items. Whatever you save on those items, you spend that and more on other things. One day I went to the Dollar General Store that is close to the supermarket and found soft drinks on special. I had refused to pay the exorbitant amount my supermarket wanted for them. I remembered something I needed from Dollar General and while I was in the same parking lot as them, I stopped in. There sat soft drinks, half the price of what the supermarket was charging, on sale at the front of the store. This has me wondering, with all the free time I’ll have in my life once I retire, what if I go to various stores and quit making the supermarket my one stop for everything shopping place? I am on spring break this week and think I will try out this idea.
